The challenges of ministering in a foreign land is a masterclass in total trust in Jesus. Out of sheer necessity, I’ve come to know Him as my Rock, my Shield, and my Guiding Light in such a real way that I can almost see Him at times.
When I fail (often) He is strong (always.) Our failures are an open door for God to show us His mercy and unfathomable love. Even when He would have every reason to toss us aside, He instead beckons us to draw intimately near.
It is a privilege to introduce others to such an Awesome God. For the past 12 years I had been leading mission trips to some of the poorest and desolate places in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, and Central America. I have always been astounded by the intricate way God moves – the careful way He weaves into people’s lives, pleading with mankind in every corner of the Earth. I have seen first hand that God’s mercy is limitless, and I have no doubt that there is no place under the sun that man cannot find refuge in the shadow of His wings. Whether at home or abroad, may we as believers collectively and individually proclaim His name and reflect His love as we lead others to His redemptive cross!
Yours,
Mike
