UGANDA –  Haven’t been able to post, as wifi is sketchy here. I’m in the North in the Karamajong region — unbelievable moving of God in a very challenging place. I moved to a village called Kaabong where I met a local pastor and I’m helping him with his church. We’ve been traveling to the surrounding villages – many of which are isolated – tucked deep into mountain/bush region. It’s non-stop evangelism, as people watch my every move.  This culture is very communal, so whenever I talk to someone, a crowd gathers. And the Lord is giving me such favor with the locals.

Led a Karamajong woman to the Lord today. This area is like nothing I’d ever seen before – very remote – like stepping back in time. Today a group of people came up and were studying my arms and hands. One woman was telling the others  that my blood is blue (not red) because of the veins – I almost had to prick my finger just to prove that it’s red like theirs. On a serious note, the situation here is dire (physically and spiritually)so your prayers are much appreciated. Alcoholism (they drink a highly addictive home-brew day and night) and witch-doctors rule the land. The day before I arrived in Karenge seven people were killed. Food is scarce,(thanking God for bananas and canned beans) but God is keeping me supernaturally strong. There are swarms of flies during the day and mosquitoes at night. I’ve been making friends with the Karamojong warriors – I make them laugh – they can’t believe I don’t drink. Thanks again for your prayers.
