Kenya Prison

KENYA- There’s something about visiting a prison which puts things in perspective. There are so many metaphors and references in the bible about man’s fallen state of bondage and God’s plan to set us free.

As with most prisons, photos aren’t allowed, but they did allow a local to take a few.  This prison – one of Kenya’s largest – houses both youth and adults. A hard-core prison for hard-core inmates. Some life-timers – some not. Words cannot adequately describe the outpouring of God’s love and compassion that happened here. But our God is never limited by brick and mortar, electric fences, armed guards, or barbed wire. He finds a way.

“Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” (John 8:36)
