UGANDA- Went into Kampala and saw a man begging outside a shopping area. His legs were so thin, I thought at first that he was an amputee. As we began talking, I learned that his name was Ezekiel, and that he has polio. (I told him that his name, “Ezekiel” means, “God will strengthen.”)

I sat and talked with him for a while, and invited him to church. I picked him up the next day (where I was speaking) and we sat him in the front row. I don’t know how he did it, but he made his way to the altar that day and he gave his heart to the Lord!
I took him to eat at the shopping center where he begs (he had never been inside, believing he was too low class.)
We had an awesome lunch and then he invited me to come and see his house in a Karamajong community in the outskirts of Kampala. He lives in a one-room hut (see photos below) which fills up with water every time it rains. He started sharing stories about his childhood, and then showed me the scars which cover most of his body. I asked what it was, and he said that when he was a child, his Aunt (who raised him) told him he was worthless and threw scalding hot water all over him. He is scarred to this day.
He told me that He was so happy to have met Jesus, and that today was the best day of his life!
